Aton

Aton is a multi-layered art project that merges ancient Egyptian mythology with modern concerns about climate change and technological evolution. The central figure is a reimagined sculpture of Aton, the Egyptian sun god, symbolizing humanity’s transition into a new digital era.

Instead of the traditional falcon-headed depiction, Aton's head is replaced by a golden egg, representing rebirth and transformation. This Cosmic Egg echoes ancient Egyptian beliefs in creation and now symbolizes the birth of a new human—one shaped by technology and climate adaptation. Aton holds a gadget, signifying our dependence on global networks, electricity, and digital existence.

The project extends beyond sculpture into an interactive experience, featuring an underground exhibition, the "Museum of Technological Future." Visitors descend through three levels:

Past: How climate shaped civilizations like Ancient Egypt.
Present: The human impact on climate and technology.
Future: Speculations on human evolution—cyborgization, adaptation, and survival.
A key interactive element allows visitors' faces to be projected onto the Cosmic Egg, emphasizing personal responsibility for humanity’s future.

Aton is a modern myth, a warning, and an invitation to reflect on whether we will adapt or decline, as past civilizations did. The project asserts that we stand at the threshold of a new era, where technology and nature will dictate the next stage of human evolution.
